Lunching on the Level On Sunday 19th July, the day dawned bright and blustery for our Triangle ‘Big Lunch’. After Dominic the Park Ranger’s heroic efforts to keep the gazebos attached to the ground, Triangle residents and friends gathered on the Level with lovely food, drinks, chairs and space hoppers, to enjoy a sociable lunch together.There was a delicious array of dishes (many thanks to Co-op and the Turkish Food Supermarket for donations), and lots of new faces. We all ate in close proximity due to the occasional downpours, but hey, we’re British! We aren’t put off by a little rain and wind! Space hopper races followed after lunch, as well as attempts at playing ‘bat and trap’, a ball game a bit like cricket that was historically played on the Level. We all enjoyed the day and are hoping to do it again next year, even bigger and better.
